This ''classic'' is recognized as the ultimate small volume pelleting tool. Also primo for clarification of biological samples such as sera prior to other analysis. Can be used to pellet or sediment any material that can be pelleted in an conventional ultracentrifuge but in a fraction of the time. Ultra convenient since only a pressurized air (42 psig) source is required to drive the rotor to speeds up to 100,000 rpm! WOW! Run time is incredibly short due to the very small distance that particles have to travel to the tube wall and due to incredibly short acceleration times. It takes about 30 seconds for the rotor to reach full speed.
