The Beckman TJ-6R has all the capabilities as the Beckman TJ-6 with the added refrigeration feature. The TJ-6R has earned a reputation of being dependable and functional. Although the refrigeration comes from a separate unit, the unit does not function independently of the centrifuge. The refrigeration unit gets its power from the centrifuge. Features of the Beckman TJ-6R include large capacity of up to two liters, removable rotor bowl for easy cleanup, instrument speeds from 0 to 5700 rpm, continuously variable through use of speed control knob, 30 minute timer in 1 minute increments with a HOLD option for longer runs, braking system including two-range dynamic plus coast, direct-reading tachometer, 0 to 7000 rpm, and adjustable temperature range from 2 to 20 degrees F.
