The IEC CU-5000 is a general-purpose, floor-model centrifuge ideal for clinical and industrial applications where refrigeration is not required. The instrument is a versatile, high-capacity unit that includes a solid-state feedback control, a dual-range timer, and a number of safety features including an interlocking cover latch system that will not release until the rotor has stopped. Other features of the IEC CU5000 include it holds four 1000mL bottles or as many as 216 serum tubes, accepts most interchangeable IEC accessories, programmable speeds up to 5700rpm with +/- 1.5% accuracy, tachometer indicates rotator speed within +/- 2% of full scale, dual mode brake lets you select the braking force, timer can be set to 15 minutes or 105 minutes, with a HOLD option as well, and steel cabinet is chemical resistant and is mounted on four casters.
