The CELL-DYN 1700 system was developed to address hematology needs in today''''s changing laboratory environment. This system offers ease of use, low maintenance, closed tubing sampling, small sample requirements and high reliability. It also meets the increasing demands in current clinical practice by providing fast access to results, sophisticated data management and simplification of data interpretation. It is a 3-part differential hematology analyzer with the same specifications as the Cell-Dyn 1600 in addition to a built-in computer with color monitor and hard drive that stores up to 5000 results. PCT and PDW are included as standard parameters but not reportable.

The Act 10 follows the Act 8 as the second member of the Act Series of products. As with the Act 8, the Act 10 was designed based upon the input of customers from around the world. Customers asked for a language independent, affordable, automated, entry-level analyzer with whole blood and pre-dilute capabilities. The Act 8 & 10 were specifically designed to meet these requirements.
